THE FIRST BOOK
Meditation with Mercy
Four books in one, each offering an eight-week guide for busy, tired, beginning-again lives.
A kinder and clearer way to learn
If you have been told to just try meditation and found it vague or impossible to fit into your week, this book begins differently: with a chair, a few minutes a day, and a notebook you will actually open.
When your mind wanders, you bring it back without the verdict. That small act of mercy, repeated, is the practice.
Four doorways
Each week offers meditation and mindfulness through a secular, Buddhist, Christian, or integrative doorway. Read about all of them and then choose one path for your first eight weeks. If you are curious for a different perspective, try a different doorway for another eight weeks. You do not need to convert to anything or leave your own faith behind to learn meditation.
Eight weeks
Settle the body, feel the breath, notice the wandering mind, and softly meet whatever is there. Carry the practice back into your ordinary day. Guided audio in Kim’s voice is available for each week’s practice.
